There are many reasons why people consider holiday homes in France. One reason is that of the culture. Whether or not you buy an investment property in Paris, it is likely that you and anyone else who stays here will venture to the capital at some point. This is a city that has so much to offer, and one thing it certainly has in abundance is art! So, let’s take a look at the galleries to explore…

The centre of Art

Paris has been the hub of cultural development since the 12th century and has drawn aspiring artists from around the world to come and study from the masters. Many museums, like the Louvre, can take days to peruse the extensive collections of famous artists like, Leonardo Di Vinci, Raphael or Picasso; planning ahead will enable you to see the art that made history.

The Louvre

The best place to start is the Louvre. Not only does it house the most famous artists’ work; it contains exhibits that date back to pre-history and new contemporary art as well. Planning what you would like to see is a good idea here, as you can get lost in this huge complex.

Where to next?

Musée d’Orsay should be next on your list. This museum houses paintings, sculpture, architecture, furniture and photography. Keep in mind that most museums in Paris have operating hours from 10 am to 6 pm, but Musée d’Orsay is open much later on Thursdays. You may want to continue from there to the Centre Georges Pompidou Museum, which has a concentration on all manners of contemporary and modern art, including cinema, video and performance art.

Paris has over 550 buildings and monuments that fall into the category of must-see. This means that you and anyone who rents out your holiday home will never run out of things to do. In fact, this is one of the reasons why people come back to France year-after-year. This is one of the many reasons why France is a great place for property investors.
